The Columbia Inn has a long and rich history in Montville. Constructed in the 1870s, it once served as Montville’s town hall. Later, it was converted into an inn because of its ideal location between historic Route 202 and the Morris Canal. This well known resting place provided food, drink, baths and rooms for decades to weary travelers.

In 1996, the McDermott family purchased the building and restored it to its original form, making it into a continental Italian restaurant. The Columbia Inn is well recognized for preparing a wide variety of unique Italian delicacies and specialties. To compliment these creative presentations, only the finest wines and liqueurs are served. The Columbia Inn has also become famous for its ultra thin crust brick oven pizza.

When you visit the Columbia Inn, make sure you ask about our private banquet room. Located on the second floor it easily accommodates up to 65 people comfortably. This room is ideal for birthday parties, business meetings, baby showers, wedding rehearsals, Christmas and holiday parties, christenings, children’s pizza parties and more.
